Beautifully Maintained 1970 Plymouth GTX Hardtop New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1970 Plymouth GTX "Super Commando 440" 2 Door Hardtop with Ivy Green Metallic exterior paint, gold pin stripes and a beautiful white vinyl interior. You’ll find a 440 cid V-8 engine under the hood with automatic transmission and pistol grip shifter, plus air conditioning, (All the hardware is present, however, not working, possibly needs a freon re-charge) five star alloy wheels, white vinyl top, a period correct radio and so much more. This highly original classic muscle car is in excellent shape as well, and ready to be enjoyed right away. Highly Original GTX The current owner of this 1970 Plymouth GTX 2 Door Hardtop took possession back in 2004 as possibly the 3 rd lifetime owner. She informs us that they bought the car with no documentation, and mileage may be just over 100K as indicated on the odometer. The current owner believes this GTX is most likely a Northern California muscle car it's entire life, and has always been well cared for. She believes that the drivetrain is 100% factory correct- while we can’t certify that statement, we see nothing under the hood to make us believe otherwise. In fact, everything about this classic looks correct down to the badging, cowl tags and instructional decals. It’s simply a super clean survivor that’s been held to the highest possible standards over the years. In terms of its present condition, this 1970 Plymouth GTX Hardtop is simply gorgeous with straight body panels, very good paint, and glimmering chrome work and trim. Unfortunately, there is some damage to the rear right quarter panel from an accident with a hand-jack at the owner's residence- the owner received an estimate of $2,500 to repair this issue and that's reflected in the asking price. Everything else about this classic is breathtaking though- the engine compartment is one of the cleanest you’ll see this year and the super clean and well maintained white interior really stands out. Out on the open road, this '70 GTX drives almost like a brand new classic vehicle with smooth acceleration, excellent handling, and a simply awesome feel to the suspension. You’ll find a 289 cid V-8 engine under the hood with a 4BBL carburetor, and Pentonix electronic ignition with automatic transmission. You’ll also find a freshly upgraded Autometer gauge cluster, custom racing seats, American Racing wheels and a new soft top- NOTE: The current owner has the original gauge cluster and original front bucket seats as well, which will be sold with the vehicle. Fully Restored in Recent Years to Very High Levels The current owner informs us that this 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible was purchased at an auction in Texas back in 2013 shortly after being restored to its present condition. The current owner did add the racing seats and new Autometer gauges, but otherwise we do not have any documentation of maintenance or recent restoration prior to 2013. What we can tell you is that this 1966 Mustang Convertible is nicely sorted throughout with only minimal levels of wear to the exterior. The paint has a nice shine and everything aligns correctly- the chrome work and trim show a few very minor scratches but nothing at all to detract from this gorgeous muscle car. The interior is definitely a step above the typical driver’s standard as well with well-maintained seats, carpeting and center console. As previously mentioned, all the autometer gauges are all new so this one really doesn’t need anything to be enjoyed right away. Under the hood you’ll find a numbers matching 125 horsepower, 248 cid straight-eight engine with twin 2-barrel Stromberg carburetors, paired with the numbers-matching 3-on-the-tree manual transmission. This highly original classic is believed to have a mere 23,854 lifetime miles on the odometer, however, true mileage can not be verified. This classic has been maintained at the highest possible levels over the past 70+ years, and is reported to have spent approximately two decades in a private museum collection. Enjoyed by the Current Owner for 43+ Years The current owner of this 1959 Mercedes 190 SL Roadster purchased it all the way back in 1988 from the original owner. He informs us that this example has remained almost entirely original its entire lifetime and was partially restored back in the 1990’s, including new paint and a refreshed interior. We also have the original owner’s manual and ample receipts on file to show decades of proper care.
